BCBA

I’m Tori Cappa, I discovered the ABA field accidentally while scrolling on social media and seeing a job listing to become an in-home RBT. I had never heard of an RBT but applied thinking I would work with cute kids until I got into my graduate program. However, when the time came to start my graduate program, I withdrew my application because I had fallen in love with the field of ABA. I changed graduate programs to have more of an emphasis on Applied Behavior Analysis, so I could become a BCBA. I continued to work as an RBT for the next five years in various settings such as, in home, in clinic, and in the community. I became a board-certified behavior analysis (BCBA) in February 2020 and gained experience working with Telehealth platforms during the COVID paramedic. In November 2022, I joined the PAT Team as a hybrid BCBA. I loved teaching skills to children in a fun, playful way such as in the natural environment, and seeing the spark in their eyes when they start to understand the world around them.
