Jacob S.

Counselor, Mooresville
Jacob has been working with children and families since receiving his master’s degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling at Lenoir-Rhyne University in 2019.  Jacob has experience helping clients work through and resolving life’s difficulties like trauma.  He’s worked with people across the lifespan and believes in teaching clients how trauma is stored in the brain and body so that they can be healed.  Jacob also works with those having difficulty managing symptoms of ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and behavioral problems. He is skilled at helping families find their strengths to help assist in creating connection and structure, helping educate about human development, emotion regulation strategies, and conflict resolution.
Outside of Counseling, Jacob likes to spend time with friends, play sports, gardening and is actively involved in church with the student ministry. When he was a teenager, he received counseling, and it changed his life. After that, he received a calling on his life to do the same for others. He loves meeting new people and can’t wait to meet you!
