Maddie F.

Maddie earned her undergraduate degree from East Tennessee State University (ETSU) in Early Childhood Education with a minor in communicative disorders. She went on to earn her Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology from ETSU as well.

During grad school, she was fortunate to be the peer mentor for first-year SLP students in ETSU’s Positive Eating Program. That expereience provided her with an entire year of learning about sensory feeding disorders and ARFID (Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder). She looks forward to growing her knowledge of feeding therapy at PAT.

In her free time, Maddie enjoys playing with her pup and collecting a disturbing amount of house plants.

Sharda A.

Hi! My name is Sharda. I am a mom, a fiance, and an SLP originally from West Virginia. I earned my speech degree at Marshall University in 2011, “We are Marshall”, and I’ve been a practicing SLP since then. When I’m not working, I spend time with my little family here in N.C. or visit my big family in W.V. I am so excited to be working at PAT!

Jan M.

Jan has been a speech therapist with PAT KIDS since she moved here from Columbus, Ohio four years ago.  She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Speech and Hearing Science, then earned her master’s degree from the University of Central Florida. Jan has a wide range of experience in the field from brain injury rehabilitation, adult and pediatric neurogenics, self-contained language classrooms using Highscope Curriculum, STACK (a variation of TEACCH) and social immersion classrooms for students on the autism spectrum.  Jan was an adjunct professor at the University of Central Florida and a Clinical Supervisor there before she moved to Ohio. She works part-time at PAT in Huntersville and continues to work part-time for her previous company in Ohio where she helps develop modified classroom materials for students with language disorders. She has completed Level 1 training in Picture Exchange Communication System through Pyramid, Floortime, Play Project, and the SOS Approach to Feeding. Jan says her passion is her clients…I think about them a lot-even outside of work. I’m constantly thinking about what I can do to help them succeed in all areas of language. After 35 years in the business, I still love what I do. I’m also extremely grateful I found a company like PAT.

When Jan is not working, she enjoys boating, hiking, Charlotte FC games,  and traveling with her family and new puppy, a very sweet Golden Retriever.
