Emily C.

Emily attended High Point University where she received both her bachelor’s of science in exercise science and her doctorate in physical therapy. She has always had a passion for pediatrics which was inspired by her time in physical therapy as a child. She has experience working with children with various orthopedic, neurological, and developmental abilities.

Emily is an NC native and resides in Greensboro with her fiancé and their dog. She enjoys leading a healthy and active lifestyle.

Sarah S.

Sarah is a graduate of East Carolina University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program. Sarah fell in love with the pediatric outpatient setting during her clinical and classroom experiences. She is originally from Raleigh, NC, but excited to be in the Charlotte area and take on a new adventure. Sarah enjoys being outside, playing sports (even when she lacks the skills), and a good game night.

Dr. LaRoche graduated from the University of St Augustine in 2007 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. After graduation, Ruth moved to Charlotte and started working as a pediatric physical therapist in the home health setting. She has extensive experience in the treatment of children in early intervention, children with complex medical diagnoses, and adaptive equipment prescription. Ruth has experience with ordering specialized equipment including orthotics, wheelchairs and gait trainers, and performing home modification evaluations. Ruth has completed a variety of continuing education courses including pediatric kinesiotaping, durable medical equipment prescription, care and treatment of premature babies and their families, the neonatal ribcage, and management of spasticity in cerebral palsy. Ruth completed her training to become a certified clinical instructor through the American Physical Therapy Association in 2015. Ruth enjoys spending time outdoors, running, and playing with her daughters.

Erin C.

Dr. Erin Craig graduated from East Carolina University with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT). Erin worked in adult neurological care and pediatrics prior to joining PAT in 2014. She has experience in school- based, clinical outpatient, and home care settings. In 2015, Erin added Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Pediatric Physical Therapy (PCS) to her resume! She has taken courses in torticollis management, pediatric sign language, pediatric kinesiotape techniques, infant/toddler neurodevelopmental treatment, wheelchair seating and mobility, and variability of childhood development. She particularly loves treating little ones with torticollis, early developmental delay, prematurity, and autism spectrum disorders. She enjoys helping children improve their movement and participation in play! She is passionate about teaching new students and therapists and is a certified clinical instructor through the American Physical Therapy Association. In her free time, Erin loves spending time with family and friends, as well as taking walks with her dog Toebee. She is an important member of the PAT pediatric PT team in local schools, as well as our Salisbury and Mooresville offices!

Mackenzie joined PAT in 2016 after graduating from Elon University. She is a North Charlotte native! Mackenzie has always had a passion for working with kids and is thrilled to incorporate that with her passion for physical therapy.
