Rachel Thomas is an LCSW/A with PAT! She has recently moved to the Charlotte area from Virginia and she is excited for this new chapter. Her professional experience is with kids started in her undergraduate program at Virginia Tech where she worked as a researcher in the development center for children and then as a Pre-K intern in the Child Development Center at Virginia Tech. When Rachel graduated, she started teaching Pre-K full time and led a classroom of 2-year-old for several years. 

Rachel started attending graduate school to earn her masters in social work at Radford University in 2018 and graduated in 2020. While earning her masters she worked with the department of social services in a foster care unit and then in a school system as a day treatment provider for kids ages 6 to 17. Rachel has a passion for supporting family and children stems from her own atypical development as a child and knowing how difficult it can be to find the right support that fits into busy everyday life.  

Some of the things that she enjoys outside of work are spending time with my chocolate lab, reading, golfing, spending time with family and friends and traveling!
