Dr. Eileen Flores is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with almost 20 years of experience working in the areas of trauma, intimate partner violence, adolescent and adult mental health, clinical research, medical social work, and peer support services for people with differences in abilities and traumatic injuries. She is passionate about supporting and encouraging children, teens, and families who have lived experiences with neurodiversity, trauma, and navigating challenges in their life journey using trauma-informed, anti-racist, culturally humble, ethical, and evidence-based practices. Eileen is also experienced in program development and leadership, clinical supervision and field instruction, and incorporating Universal Design for Learning, the 504 Plan and IEP process to support more inclusive learning and skill-building. She is part of the Associate Graduate Faculty at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte. Personally, Eileen loves spending time with her husband, daughter, son, and two puppies. She loves the mountains, hiking in nature, arranging fresh flowers, and COFFEE! Eileen’s favorite children’s book: It’s OK to Make Mistakes by Todd Parr.
